The Transportation Advisory Committee
Is a committee formed to meet regularly since March of 2022 with the purpose of discussing our Transportation Needs, Identifying Projects, and Ensuring Public Communication around The Walton Referendum.
October 3rd 2022
This meeting is the final meeting prior the Walton Referendum vote and was full of great information. The full video is available at the end of this post. In this post we’ll primary be covering the List of Recommended Projects sent to the Board of County Commissioners for consideration if the Walton Referendum passes.

County-Wide Project
FDOT Studied Intersections Safety Upgrades budgeted at $3,000,000 ($15,000,000 total over 5 years) per year to include Design and Construction costs.
Phases Explained
As best understood;
Initial Phase – May vary depending on the project.
– PE = Preliminary Engineering
– PD&E = Project, Development, & Engineering
ROW = Right of Way Acquisition
Design = Design
CEI / Construction = Construction, Engineering, Inspection / Construction
– the way we understand it is that a project may or may not have the CEI component depending on the size and requirements. CEI is essentially an accountability layer withing the Construction phase
